Well, Airdrie, we had a pretty brilliant time at the Town Hall on Saturday night. It seemed like you all did too! There were debuts, returns, title shots, and plenty of excitement in between.
One of the most highly anticipated matches of the evening saw both the PBW Tag Team Championships and the ICW Tag Team Championships put on the line as Krieger & Lou King Sharp took on ‘The Marauders’ Mike Bird & Wild Boar.
While Krieger & Sharp’s last title defence was, at their insistence, against two young trainee wrestlers, they had no such advantage this time. Bird & Boar proved themselves to be formidable opponents who are not afraid to get stuck right in, quite literally in Boar’s case! Once it became clear that Krieger & Sharp’s usual flamboyantly underhanded tactics weren’t getting them anywhere, the pair hit double low blows on Bird & Boar to get a deliberate DQ. This of course meant that no titles could change hands, much to the frustration of the fans in attendance.
One of several returnees to PBW that night was 'World of Sport’s' Mark Coffey. Despite not being seen in PBW for a few months, Coffey exploded back into the picture with a gripping main event match against the menacing Mikey Whiplash. It was a brutal contest, with Coffey eventually managing to pick up the win. After such an impressive showing, it will be interesting to see his next move in PBW and, despite his loss, Whiplash is certainly not one to be discounted either.
A special mention has to go to PBW Academy graduates Aaron Echo, Dylan Angel, and Emily Hayden, who all managed to pick up the win in their respective matches. They did their home company proud!

PBW are now looking to their next event on April 22nd, their massive annual Breaking Limits show in Greenock Town Hall.
