LIONHEART TO DEFEND PBW TITLE IN ROTHERHAM

Extract from Shooting Star Wrestling press release -

'At the anniversary event in August, Lionheart will be making a return to Wath upon Dearne and will bringing his PBW strap with him. This will be the first time the PBW Championship has been defending in Shooting Star Wrestling, so it's bound to bring the best out of Lionheart. Management have been considering suitable opponents for the PBW Heavyweight Championship Match and will be announced in the upcoming weeks.'

Announcements regarding further matches and the other wrestlers appearing will be made in upcoming weeks, stay tuned to SSW for the latest news.

Doors open at 6:00pm with the show commencing at 6:30pm

Lionheart once again shows PBW fans that he is a fighting champion by offering to defend his title at PBW affiliate promotion SSW in England. SSW have built a reputation for putting on great shows featuring the best talent from both Scotland and England and have also joined the newly formed Union Of European Wrestling Alliance, www.uewa.eu. Anyone in the Rotherham area on August 15th should come along and enjoy a great night of wrestling action.

MARTIN STONE TO CHALLENGE FOR PBW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
This past Saturday at Breaking Limits 4 Martin Stone beat Wolfgang to become number one contender to the PBW Championship currently held by Lionheart. At Maximum Impact 2009 Martin Stone will challenge for the PBW Title and face whoever may be PBW Champion at that time.

JOEY HAYES HEADING TO SCOTLAND

The first person to be announced for this years King Of Cruisers is a man who will be making his debut for PBW. He has wrestled for some of the top independant wrestling companies in Britain and has also competed throughout Europe in countries such as Germany and Holland. On Saturday 17 October 2009 Premier British Wrestling will see the debut of none other than Joey Hayes.

BUBBLEGUM TO DEFEND KING OF CRUISERS CROWN One of the most popular PBW stars of all time will raise the roof in Irvine once again this year as he arrives at Maximum Impact 2009 looking to defend his title as PBW's King Of Cruisers. Bubblegum was crowned King Of Crusiers 2008 at last years Maximum Impact event as he outlasted top British talent Liam Thomson, Zack Sabre Jr, Bingo Balance, BT Gunn and El Ligero in the annual 6 man elimination matchup. Since then he has been on a roll here in PBW picking up huge victories over Darkside, Red Lightning aswell as former partner and friend Brad Fusion in a match that he had waited over a year for. TOP DANISH STAR TO DEBUT FOR PBW

PBW management are pleased to announce in our July Newswire that on August 21st 2009 top Danish heavyweight fighter Chaos will be making his debut in Scotland. Chaos will be representing Danish Pro Wrestling who have suplied us with the following information on their Champion -

'Chaos is 180 cm, weighing 95 kg, and is the reigning 2-time DPW heavyweight champion. Known as the the toughest wrestler in Denmark, Chaos has fought his way through many tough opponents incl. stars like Doug Williams, Joe Legend, Cannonball Grizzly and Michael Kovac.'

Just recently in Denmark Scottish star Andy Wild was close to beating Chaos in a thrilling main event which was taped for Danish TV. Since returning Wild has made no secret of the fact that he was 'put of his A game by the danish fans' and upon reading this announcement may go after a rematch with Chaos in Alloa with Charles Boddington by his side.

Drew Galloway/Mcintyre has recently went back on the road with the Smackdown roster, working on various house shows throught The US and has even been given the chance to work WWE legend Ricky Steamboat.

It is rumoured that one of the young stars to have emerged from the Scottish Pro Wrestling Academy will be given a spot in this years King Of Cruisers matchup at Maximum Impact 2009

PBW star Andy Wild has just returned from a 9 day tour of Spain where he worked for Spanish Wrestling Alliance and El Grito Productions. Over the 9 days Andy wrestled on 3 events, one of which featured talent from well known Mexican promotion CMILL. He also trained SWA trainees for 6 days alongside fellow British star Zack Sabre Jr.

A number of SPWA students are scheduled to appear for OPWO at the Kirkham Community Centre in Kirkham, Lancashire. The show will be held on August 15th and will feature Rage N Storm, Rob Cage and Andy Wild. The show will also feature Scottish stars BT Gunn and Red Lightning who fans will know from PBW events.
