RESULTS FROM LARBERT

Published by Ross Watson

It only took two years but finally we returned to the Dobbie Hall in Larbert last night, picking up where we left off in 2020. It is safe to say that it was definitely worth the wait.

What an atmosphere! We can't thank everyone enough who came along to the show and made the night so fun. It was great to see the wrestlers absolutely buzzing after their bouts.

The show had it all, action aplenty, lots of laughs, a surprise return, and even a debut! The show kicked off with a brilliant match between high flying Lucha DS & Krieger that had the fans on the edge of their seats. Lucha got the winning pin, much to the delight of the crowd.

Up next, we were delighted to see the return of one half of the PBW Tag Team Champions! Kieran Kelly accepted The Open Challenge laid out by Ace Anderson, picking up a hugely popular victory in the process.

Our first half main event saw a surprise debut. Perhaps most surprised of all was Angel Hayze when Charles Boddington appeared in the ring in place of Lizzy Evo. He informed everyone that Lizzy had suffered an injury at a show the night before and instructed Boddington to find someone to "take care of Hayze". Scottish newcomer Ellie Armstrong was introduced by Boddington and just like that, the match got underway. Armstrong was clearly on a mission to make her debut count, and she did just that. Earning a shock victory over Angel, albeit using underhand tactics, Armstrong made her mark.

The second half started with a bang and the team of Ray Berani & John Trettan gave the fans something to cheer about again by beating the imposing combination of TJ Rage & Dean Ford in tag team action.

Aaron Echo returned to PBW with a whole new look and a whole new attitude beating fan favourite Logan Smith in a hard hitting match.

Our main event had it all as three of Britain's best went at it full pelt. Martin Kirby took on Daz Black and Davey Blaze in a highly entertaining match up. Even referee Sean McLaughlin appeared to be overcome with the excitement of the evening, delivering a stunner to Davey Blaze and rock bottom to Charles Boddington. Order was restored and it would be Daz Black who finally got the win in a match that could have gone any way.

Daz Black has exploded onto the Scottish Wrestling Scene in recent years. The star quality is there in abundance and we can't wait to see what 2022 has in store for him.

Once again a massive thank you to everyone who came along. We truly appreciate the support, especially in these testing times with the cost of living putting a strain on us all.

We look forward to returning to Larbert later this year.
