It is time to announce the six participants for King Of Cruisers 2019. This will be the thirteenth King Of Cruisers match. Ten men have held the trophy since September 15th 2007.
Previous winners Noam Dar, El Ligero & Kenny Williams are currently under contract with WWE. Mark Haskins is contracted to ROH and last but not least Chris Ridgeway currently finds himself signed with Pro Wrestling Noah.
Safe to say that PBW management has a great eye for talent. One of our long term principles in wrestling is to be a stage for the next generation of international stars. The annual King Of Cruisers match is highly important to us due to the history it holds in our company.
With this in mind, we have selected six tremendous talents who we believe will make this years match one to remember.
ANGEL HAYZE - Angel Hayze becomes the first ever female to enter the King Of Cruisers match. A graduate of the PBW Academy, Angel has been making huge waves around the UK scene in recent months with debuts at several top UK companies including ICW & Pro Wrestling Eve.
JOHN TRETTAN - Another graduate from the PBW Academy, Trettan has been on a fine run of form competing mainly in Scotland at this moment in time. PBW owner Ross Watson has stated that Trettan reminds him of a young Noam Dar. High praise indeed for this talented young athlete.
LEYTON BUZZARD - A product of the GPWA school. Buzzard has been making a name for himself across the UK this year. Coached by previous King Of Cruisers winner and current PBW Champion Stevie Xavier. Buzzard has all the tools required to make an impact.
LOU KING SHARP - Our 2017 King Of Cruisers winner Lou King Sharp returns to the match in the hope of winning the trophy for a second time. LKS has been on fire for a few years now competing across Europe, America and recently China.
DARREN VICE - PBW Academy standout Darren Vice will enter the King Of Cruisers match for the first time. Vice is on a fine run of form with recent debuts for both BCW & ICW earning praise from fans and peers in the process. The man known at the Limited Edition will be looking to make his mark at Maximum Impact 2019.
LUCHA DS - Last but not least, the 2018 King Of Cruisers winner, Lucha DS returns to defend his trophy. This year has already seen Lucha DS start to make his mark in Europe with appearances in Germany. Will he finish the year as a two time King Of Cruisers Champion.
There we have it folks. Picking a winner here is anyone's guess but one thing we can all agree on is that this match is going to fantastic.
With three amazing matches now confirmed. Maximum Impact 2019 is shaping up to be a superb show indeed.
