RESULTS FROM DUMBARTON. (2016-11-29)

Published by Ross Watson

It may have been a cold winter's night but the action was red hot at the Meadow Centre on Saturday night. A massive thank you goes out to our loyal fans who braved the weather and joined us this past Saturday night in Dumbarton.

It was our final show of 2016 and a night where the champions would reign supreme. Lou King Sharp & Krieger enjoyed their first successful title defence with a victory over Dylan Angel & Chris Ridgeway. They may have come up short but it is safe to say that Angel & Ridgeway have firmly established themselves as fan favourites during 2016.

BT Gunn also confirmed that he will arrive in 2017 with the belt around his waist after retaining in a thrilling 3-Way bout with Liam Thomson & Stevie Xavier. Credit to all three men here who left nothing behind. A truly fantastic main event by three of the best in the world. However, it was what happened in the moments immediately after the match that has everyone talking. A clearly frustrated Stevie Xavier would reject the offer of a handshake by his long time friend BT Gunn. It is unlike Xavier to show a lack of respect to anyone let alone his former tag team partner. After losing out at Maximum Impact 2016 in the King Of Cruisers match then coming up short in Dumbarton, it is understandable that his frustrations may just have got the better of him. We have reached out to Stevie for a comment but have yet to hear anything back.
