Breaking News: Lionheart to challenge TNA superstar Jeff Jarrett this January at Braehead Arena

Published by Ross Watson

Last night the students of the Scottish Pro Wrestling Academy were joined by the stars of Premier British Wrestling as TNA superstar and multi-time World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett arrived at the SPWA training facility in East Kilbride to train with Scotland's finest talent.

Over 20 Scottish stars were paired of and given a few minutes to impress the man who is responsible for the TNA British fans know and love.

During the seminar though things got as bit heated as Lionheart appeared on the ring apron from nowhere and challenged Jeff Jarrett to a match at TNA's January spectacular in the Braehead arena. Accepting the bout, Jarrett—whose nickname is King of the Mountain—then threw down a marker of his own. Having earlier signed a guitar as a memento for the school, the Nashville native picked up the instrument and cracked it over Lionheart's skull as the other students and referee Sri Harri looked on in shock. Jarrett then remarked:

"I've really enjoyed my visit to East Kilbride—a lot more than Lionheart did anyway. If he is the best this country has to offer then he really needs to step up his game come January 27. As I leave Scotland and head back to the glorious USA, I think I've made more of an impression on him than he has on me."

Lionheart, real name Adrian McCallum, responded:

"It's a shame someone the status of Jeff felt the need to feed his ego in that way. What should have been a Gut Check, quickly became a reality check. And reality is, come January 27, whatever it is Jeff Jarrett expects, my advice for him is simple: expect different."

PBW management can now confirm that this match has been sanctioned by TNA and will take place live 27 January 2011 at The Braehead Arena during TNA's three-day tour of The UK. Tickets are on sale now at www.gigsinscotland.com.

TNA superstars including Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, A.J. Styles and Mickie James will also be appearing on the show.

Pictures from Jeff Jarrett's appearance will be uploaded here at www.pbwwrestling.com in the next 48 hours and also uploaded on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/pbwwrestling.
