Airdire Town Hall and Pavilion Theatre shows a huge success

Published by Ross Watson

What an amazing weekend. We really want to thank all our great fans who turned out from all over Scotland and England for our big double header weekend in Airdrie and Glasgow. Official figures are in and with 462 in Airdrie Town Hall on Saturday night and then 823 in The Pavilion Theatre on Sunday afternoon we consider that a huge success. We would like to thank both The Airdrie Town Hall and Pavilion Theatre for having us and really do appreciate how commited they are in helping us in both the lead up to the shows and on the day itself. As always the PBW fans done it best and were awesome at both shows creating that atmosphere that can only be found at PBW. Full results from both shows were as follows

AIRDRIE TOWN HALL - 02.03.2013

  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Blaze & Rampage bt Colosus Kennedy & Jack Jester with Charles Boddington to retain
  • Nathan Cruz bt Noam Dar
  • BT Gunn & Stevie Xavier bt Project Ego
  • James Scott bt Falcon and Scott Maverick
  • Wolfgang bt Mark Coffey with Leah Owens
  • Kenny Williams & JD Bravo bt TJ Rage & Saqib Ali
  • PBW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - Liam Thomson bt El Ligero to retain

PAVILION THEATRE - 03.03.2013

  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Blaze & Rampage bt Project Ego to retain
  • Red Lightning bt Noam Dar
  • NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH - Wolfgang bt James Scott, TJ Rage & Jack Jester to become number one contender to the PBW Championship
  • El Ligero bt Colosus Kennedy with Charles Boddington
  • Liam Thomson & Carmel bt Stevie Xavier and Kay Lee Ray
  • BT Gunn(Scotland) bt Nathan Cruz(England)

PBW tag team champions Blaze and Rampage continue their run of form with an impressive double victory at the weekend on both occasions beating more experienced wrestlers. On the subject of tag teams BT Gunn and Stevie Xavier known as Just-Uz have made a great start as a tag team in PBW, a fantastic match and well earned victory against top European team Project Ego on Saturday night can only mean they are now firmly on the tag team title hunt.

James Scott is a changed man and no longer has that respect he once had for PBW or our great fans. The aggressive Scott came out on top in Airdrie with an impressive display and a nastly looking lariot on Scott Maverick for the win. He was unlucky not to leave the Pavilion Theatre as the new number one contender, that honour went to Wolfgang who against all odds outlasted 3 of the top wrestlers in Scotland today to become next in line for a shot at Thomson's PBW Championship.

Saturday night also saw Kenny Williams compete on the biggest show of his short career and the PBW arrival of Irish female star Leah Owens. Both talents made a fantastic impression with Williams in particular being the star attraction in his home town of Airdrie. We look forward to having both Leah and Kenny on future PBW shows.

Liam Thomson is is on fire just now, love him or hate him the PBW champion is enjoying a run of form that has seen his performance level hit an all time career high. An outstanding match with El Ligero on Saturday night in which he retained the PBW title and then showing his tag team experience on Sunday afternoon with an impressive victory means we will head into our next live event on Saturday March 30th with Thomson as PBW Champion.

Once again we would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us over the weekend and also thank out talented roster for once again giving us and the fans their all. We look forward to our return to Airdrie Town Hall on November 23rd and also to our return to the Pavilion Theatre in 2014.

Official PBW photographers were at both events and pictures will be online shortly here and on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/pbwwrestling
