NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS CROWNED

NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS CROWNED

Published by Ross Watson

Saturday night saw PBW draw its biggest ever crowd at the Airdrie Town Hall with 448 in attendance. It was also the night that brand new tag team champions were crowned as Grado & Kenny Williams pulled off a huge upset by defeating TJ Rage & Darkside in a fantastic main event.

We also saw a heated PBW Championship match as BT Gunn came out seeking revenge after being cheated out of his place in the Championship Tournament Final at Maximum Impact by Jack Jester. Many in Airdrie were convinced they were about to witness Jack Jester become the shortest reigning champion of all time. To the dismay of the fans though, Jester managed to hit his Tombstone Piledriver which was enough to keep Gunn down for the three count on this occasion. Jester may have escaped Airdrie with his belt but already members of the PBW roster are making it known to management that they want a chance to take the title from him. His actions at Maximum Impact and his arrogance ever since have angered many in the locker room.

Full results from the show were as follows...

  • Lionheart bt Aaron Echo
  • Davey Blaze with Charles Boddington bt 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild
  • PBW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - Jack Jester bt BT Gunn to retain
  • Noam Dar bt Liam Thomson
  • Saqib Ali & Krieger bt Stevie Xavier & Taylor Bellando
  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Grado & Kenny Williams bt TJ Rage & Darkside to become the new Tag Team Champions.

We would like to once again thank all our great fans that always ensure our Airdrie Town Hall shows are packed out. Your continued support means so much to all of us and we cannot wait to return next year.

As always David Wilson was on hand on Saturday. Pictures from the event will be posted in the coming days.
