HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT SET FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT SET FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT

Published by Ross Watson

After weeks of speculation we can now confirm that PBW owner Ross Watson has made the decision to have a four man tournament at Maximum Impact 2015 to crown a new PBW Champion.

Fans who were in attendance at Larbert, or have read our official results from that event, will be well aware that there are a number of Scotland's finest wrestlers desperate for a chance to become the next champion. Jack Jester, Liam Thomson and Wolfgang all gave their reasons at Larbert as to why they should be considered for any match/tournament for the title.

Jester pointed out that he was the number one contender when the championship was still held by El Ligero. He arrogantly claimed that he should simply be awarded the title at Maximum Impact. Liam Thomson was quick to point out that he was PBW Champion before El Ligero. Wolfgang then quickly responded reminding both men that not only was he the first ever PBW Champion but the only man in the history of the company to have held the title twice.

Watson has explained to pbwwrestling.com that he agrees that all 3 men deserve to be involved in the title match at Maximum Impact. He continued that, due to a 3 way match already being announced for the UEWA Championship on the night, he was keen to add another dynamic to the show to ensure the fans in attendance had the best night possible.

We can now confirm that the fourth man competing against Jack Jester, Liam Thomson and Wolfgang is none other than former PBW Champion BT Gunn. The four men will compete in the following two semi final matches during the first half of the show with the two winners going head to head later on in the evening.

SEMI FINAL 1 - Liam Thomson vs BT Gunn

SEMI FINAL 2 - Wolfgang vs Jack Jester

Four of Scotland's finest at the very top of their game. One man will leave Greenock as the new PBW Heavyweight Champion on Saturday 24th October.

Tickets for this event are selling faster than any previous show in the Greenock Town Hall. Front row have already sold out. General admission are still available from the Beacon Arts Centre and also online at www.ringsideworld.co.uk.
