Full results from Maybole Town Hall last night

Published by Ross Watson

PBW kicked of 2014 in great fashion last night with another full house at the Maybole Town Hall. There is no better feeling for any company and its talent than having to scramble extra chairs just before the show starts due to an even bigger crowd showing up than expected. Although Maybole is one of the smaller venues we run we were delighted with a crowd of over 150 turning out and creating a cracking atmosphere that we have come to expect from our great fans in Maybole.

Full results were as follows...

  • Ryan Hendricks bt Davey Blaze
  • Lionheart & Wolfgang bt Dave Krycek & Craig Damian
  • Switch bt Solar
  • Kay Lee Ray bt Kelly Owens
  • Kenny Williams & Tommy Marx bt Lou King Sharp & Brendan Cooper
  • Red Lightning bt JD Bravo
  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Just Uz bt TJ Rage & Scott Maverick with Charles Boddington

The up and coming Ryan Hendricks picked up a massive win by pulling off the upset and pinning former PBW Tag Team Champion Davey Blaze. Since splitting with former partner Chris Rampage, Blaze has been struggling to get back on the winning track and the frustration is starting to show. This was evident to anyone who saw Blaze's reaction to referee Edward Roberts immediately after Hendricks had been declared the winner.

Sadly Switch was rushed to hospital moments after his match with Solar after catching an elbow to the face which resulted in a deep wound that required stitches. Although not much is known about this strange character one thing is for sure and that he is the real deal, hard as nails and a true professional. We wish Switch all the best and look forward to having him back soon.

It was a night that also saw a number of debuts as Irish female star Kasey Owens, Lou King Sharp and Brendan Cooper all made their mark at PBW. Although none were victorious on their debut all 3 were on great form and we look forward to having them back on PBW shows later this year.

The relationship between TJ Rage and Charles Boddington continues to deteriorate and it can only be a matter of time now before it gets to the breaking point. It appeared last night that Rage had the match won only for Boddington to insist on his briefcase being used as a weapon. TJ clearly wanting to win the match without the use of an illegal weapon got into a war of words with Boddington which was enough of a distraction for Gunn to sneak a pin keeping the gold around the waists of Just Uz.

Once again we would like to thank all our fans who turned out last night to supports us and also a massive thanks to the Carrick Gazette for their support leading up to the show.

Pictures from last night by David Wilson will be posted in the coming days
