Airdrie Town Hall results and news

Published by Ross Watson

What can we say ? Airdrie Town Hall last night was the loudest fans we have had all year. Over 400 fans were in attendance to witness the stars of PBW doing what they do best. Results were as follows...

  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Just Uz bt The Coffey Brothers to retain
  • Wolfgang bt James Scott
  • Johnny Moss bt Davey Blaze
  • Lionheart bt TJ Rage with Charles Boddington
  • Kenny Williams bt Jack Jester
  • PBW Championship Match - Liam Thomson bt 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild to retain

Just Uz made a fantastic start to their tag team title run with an impressive victory over The Coffey Brothers in an action packed opener

Davey Blaze who now seems certain to embark on a singles career gave it his all against the man mountain that is Johnny Moss. Sadly on the night the experienced Moss picked up the victory despite Blaze giving it his all. After coming so close to beating Moss though, it cant be long before Blaze starts to get on a winning streak that could see him once again challenge Liam Thomson for the PBW Championship in 2014

After a brutal sneak attack bt TJ Rage and Charles Boddington at Maximum Impact 2013, Lionheart came out ready for a battle and revenge was his as he pinned TJ Rage and also found time to hit Charles Boddington with a Rock Bottom for good measure. It was what happened after the match though that has got the PBW fans talking. Boddington made it clear that he wasnt happy at Rage losing the match and things started to get tense. Just when everyone thought these two might go at it themselfs they seemed to calm down and leave the ring as a unit although it is now clear for everyone to see that there is tension in the Boddington camp.

PBW Academy standout Kenny Williams was up next against Scottish veteran Jack Jester. The crowd went CRAZY for their hometown hero Williams as he made his way to the ring. Jester was quick to get on top of Williams and take control of the match. Jesters arrogance though would be his downfall when at one point he had Williams down only to pull him up himself resulting in just a 2 count. Minutes later Jester grabbed his corksrew clearly intending on hurting Williams. From no where Williams managed to dodge the weapon and roll Jester up for the 3 count which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Williams now has an Airdrie Town Hall record that has seen him win both his matches there this year and is surely heading into 2014 loaded with confidence.

Liam Thomson and Andy Wild took things up a level yet again when they battered each other all over the venue using tables, bins and even our fans to assist them. Both men gave it their all although once again Thomson escaped with his beloved title by the skin of his teeth after a fantastic final 5 minutes which had the fans on the edge of their seats with so much back and forth action.
