Full results and show report from Maybole and Alloa

Published by Ross Watson

PBW kicked into gear on Friday night with our first show of 2013 in the Maybole Town Hall then 24 hours later we were at it again with our second show of the weekend in the Alloa Town Hall.

Due to extreme weather conditions we were forced to make some changes to the Maybole card due to wrestlers not being able to make it through and others being held up in traffic jams. We do feel however that the show was a huge success with the talent really going out to impress our fans in Maybole.

Results from Maybole Town Hall were as follows...

  • Noam Dar bt Switch
  • Kenny Williams bt 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild
  • Wolfgang bt Saqib Ali
  • Massimo De Marco bt Grado
  • Blaze and Rampage bt Dave Krycek & Craig Damian in a non title match
  • BT Gunn bt TJ Rage

Although all the talent made it to Alloa we do feel that the weather conditions were a big factor on the poorer than normal attendance. The 100 plus fans who did turn out in Alloa though were fantastic and you would have thought it was the usual full house with the volume of noise being created.

Results from Alloa Town Hall were as follows...

  • BT Gunn & Stevie Xavier bt Jack Jester & Switch
  • James Scott bt JD Bravo
  • PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Blaze & Rampage bt Red Lightning & Saqib Ali to retain
  • Wolfgang vs Noam Dar went to a non finish due to interference from James Scott
  • Falcon bt TJ Rage
  • PBW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - Liam Thomson with Carmel bt 'Unstoppable' Andy Wild to retain

Maybole has always been a venue that we use to give the younger guys a chance to showcase their skills learned at the PBW Academy. It was great to see Kenny Williams, Massimo De Marco, Dave Krycek & Craig Damian on top form and showing so much potential at this early stage in their careers. Hopefully we will have other students from the PBW Academy make their debut this year.

The main news from Alloa is the shocking behaviour of former fan favourite James Scott, first showing no respect at all to JD Bravo during the match, getting annoyed by fans during the match and then attacking JD after the match. It is crazy to think what would have happened had Wolfgang & Noam Dar not ran in to save their friend from a crazed Scott. Wolfgang and Dar would pay the price later on though as Scott entered the ring during their contest with a chair and layed out both competitors resulting in a non finish. PBW management have yet to hear from Scott since the show on Saturday despite several attempts being made to contact him. In the meantime we can only wonder what has happened to the man once loved by the PBW fans.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who braved the weather of the weekend and came out to support us. We very much look forward to returning to both venues later this year.

Pictures from both shows coming soon
